THE CHALLENGE

A private equity-backed healthcare packaging manufacturer had been carved out of its former parent and had acquired five plants across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, England and the Netherlands. It depended on its former parent's systems under a transitional agreement, and each plant worked differently. All of this happened during COVID, with limited access to sites and subject-matter experts.

WHAT WE DID

We ran a greenfield, fit-to-standard SAP S/4HANA programme with strict control of customisation. We worked directly with the CEO, CFO and VP Operations on executive decisions, led business readiness, and drove data enrichment, validation and migration. The scope covered finance, sales, procurement, planning, quality, master data and production execution, with manufacturing integration and cloud analytics.

THE RESULTS

Five acquired plants now run as a single business on one SAP S/4HANA core, with standard processes across all sites and one set of numbers for the leadership team. The business exited its former parent's systems and has a platform built for further acquisitions.
