Jeet Poptani, Chief Transformation Officer at AumentoAI, maps the technologies moving from lab to balance sheet in 2027 — what they are, what capital is already betting on them, and what it will actually take to run them inside a large enterprise. Every year produces a “trends” list. Most of them are recycled. 2027 is different, and the difference shows up in the money before it shows up in the headlines: global venture capital hit an all-time-high $300 billion in a single qu

Jeet Poptani, Chief Transformation Officer at AumentoAI, on where IFS's Industrial AI push is real capability — and where it's still a roadmap slide. Most of the AI-in-ERP conversation happening in 2026 is a conversation about SAP. That's a gap, not a reflection of where the interesting work is. For manufacturing, energy, utilities, aerospace & defence, construction and field-service-heavy organisations — the "moment of service" businesses IFS has always been built for — IFS

Jeet Poptani, Chief Transformation Officer at AumentoAI, on why a regulatory delay is the moment to get governance right, not the moment to pause. Enterprise AI programmes run on deadlines, and one of the biggest just moved. Under the EU AI Act's Omnibus VII revision, the compliance deadline for stand-alone high-risk AI systems under Annex III has shifted from 2 August 2026 to 2 December 2027 — a sixteen-month extension. Product-embedded high-risk systems get a parallel twelv

Jeet Poptani, Chief Transformation Officer at AumentoAI, compares what's real across the three ERP platforms he delivers transformation programmes on. Every major ERP vendor is now making the same pitch: agents, not just automation; outcomes, not just data entry. Most comparisons of that pitch come from analysts who've never sat inside a delivery programme for any of these platforms, or from a vendor's own SI partner, whose comparison somehow always favours the platform they

Jeet Poptani, Chief Transformation Officer at AumentoAI, separates the Sapphire 2026 keynote from the programme plan a CIO can actually fund. SAP used Sapphire 2026 to stop describing Joule as a copilot and start describing it as the front door to the business. Christian Klein's framing was explicit: the goal is outcomes that are accurate, compliant and secure — not "almost right." Underneath the keynote language sits a real architectural move, a real set of numbers, and a re

Jeet Poptani, Chief Transformation Officer at AumentoAI, on why the ECC deadline is the wrong reason — and the right moment — to move. Every enterprise still running SAP ECC 6.0 has the same two dates taped somewhere near the CIO's desk: mainstream maintenance ends in 2027, and the extended-maintenance runway SAP granted after pressure from user groups closes in 2030. Boards read those dates as a compliance problem. After twenty years running ERP transformations across 25+ co
